Richard ’52 & Joann (Miller) ’52 Schechter –                Monroe, OH

“Say hi to Naiya for me.”  That’s what Richard told me to do.  Say hello to our SC student, Naiya, also his assigned Prayer Warrior student.  Some memorable professors for Richard were Prof. Akin and Dr. Eunice McGill.  He said that Dr. McGill was instrumental in helping Richard realize his calling to become a preacher rather than a teacher.  As a result, seminary was next after SC.  Some pranks or shenanigans Richard recalled (not necessarily confessed) were throwing snowballs at the Campbell Hall sleeping porch windows and somehow managing to get a cow in the upper floors of Cooper Hall. Richard and Joann live in a retirement community in Monroe and live close to children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
