Wes Smothermon-President
 |
|
I am a senior majoring in Christian Ministry hoping to become an evangelist or youth pastor. I run and organize the
Chapter as well as trying to get students involved in Habitat. My time is also spent in the Fellows as a recruiter.
Besides organizing the chapter I am also a Resident Assistant in my dorm Kilbourn Hall. I love to hang out with my
buds and love to play games.
I joined Habitat for Humanity because I wanted to learn and become a servant leader. I have always had a heart to love
and serve others. Becoming a fellow has allowed me to share my heart and my time with others. Habitat has given me a
great chance to show God’s love to everyone I come in contact with.

Danielle Brocato-Vice President/Treasurer
 |
|
My name is Danielle Brocato, I'm a freshman and I'm currently undecided about my major. I have served as the
Habitat for Humanity Sterling chapter secretary for one semester. Currently I'm involved in choir and I'm an
active member at my Church here in Sterling. It has been a wonderful experience serving as my chapter's
treasurer. My job description is as simple as knowing how much money my chapter has. When the president
asks I have the answer ready immediately. I make sure all of the money we raise goes into our bank account,
and I keep track of all of it. I know how much we spend, and I make sure anyone who spends money for the
chapter’s sake is reimbursed. I’m also in charge of the chapter’s tithe. It’s a job that’s all about the
money, but its one that needs to be done

Irene Frankenfield-VP/Building Chair
 |
|
I am a junior majoring in pre-law with a minor in social entrepreneurship for Habitat for Humanity. I am the
building chairman now for the second year. It has been a challenge but one I have greatly enjoyed. I am looking
forward to all the great things the chapter has in planned for this next year. It is going to be great.
My family received a Habitat house when I was twelve and I enjoyed working with the local affiliate, so I continued
to work with Habitat after my family got the house. I heard about Sterling College through a student who was doing
an internship with the Habitat affiliate in Kansas City. She told me about the Fellows Program and all the wonderful
opportunities available at Sterling through Habitat.

Elizabeth Bowling-Advocacy Chair/Education
 |
|
I am a junior from Vandalia, Ohio. My major is Business with a concentration in Social Entrepreneurship and I
have two minors; one in English and one in Psychology. I have worked with AmeriCorps, Habitat, and the Academic
Support office while on campus. I also like to participate in the theatre when I can.
I came to Sterling College specifically because of this Fellows Program. I had looked at other colleges, but none of them offered
this chance of becoming involved with an organization that serves communities with such lasting results. I really like working with
Habitat because I know that what I do impacts the future of many families getting a new start, which positively impacts the communities
they live in, which impacts the world. Other colleges may have servant-leadership programs, but none of them compare to this Fellows
program when it comes to real-life experience and training.

of Leadership and Success.

mission trip travel. She is involved with choir and love Science Fiction.
She first got involved with Habitat by volunteering at the ReStore in Kansas City. Kelsey came to Sterling College
because of Habitat. One of the former member of her church, Saint Marks United Methodist Church, told her about the
