#variables.innerpagetopmargin# alt="">Campus Celebration

The campus began its monthly celebrations again with the first one of the second semester on Friday, February 4, 2005. The Catholic Student Association hosted a Mardi Gras-themed party complete with beads, supplies to make masks and a King’s cake, a Mardi Gras tradition in which the one person who has a bean in their piece of cake is crowned King and enjoys good fortune throughout the year. Freshman Bobby Beck was the recipient of the bean in his piece of cake and was given a hat designated for the honor. Items of celebration included 19 new transfer students, the success of the men’s and women’s basketball programs, the best December on record for giving to the Annual Fund, and the safe return of all involved in the three Interterm trips.
